The ATLANT Women in Fintech 2020 is a two-month program that focuses on the professional and personal development of current female students in the fields of computer science/technology and fintech/blockchain.

Recent studies reveal that less than 30% of the fintech workforce is female. This number decreases even more when looking at upper management positions — in fact, only 17% of senior fintech roles are held by women. In a recent HBR study researchers discovered that without diverse leadership, women are 20% less likely than men to win endorsement for their ideas which ends up costing companies crucial market opportunities and impairs career advancement.

ATLANT is an international team which supports initiatives aimed at helping bring more women into the technology field and fintech industry in particular.

As a part of ATLANT Women in Fintech, ATLANT’s management team will share their experience in finance, blockchain and various other areas of technology and business at the company’s offices in Singapore and Gdańsk, Poland. Attendees will receive guidance and teach-ins from various members of the ATLANT team including CTO Denis Donin, a preeminent expert in blockchain, coauthor of several crypto exchanges and other large scales IT projects as well as business development lectures from CEO Julian Svirsky, former trader and banker, turned fintech entrepreneur. One-on-one teach-ins and mentoring sessions will help attendees on their journey to charting a successful fintech career-path.

Attendees will each receive a €5,000 scholarship for participating in ATLANT Women in Fintech 2020, and selected few will be offered full-time employment at the company. Up to 10 graduate students will be chosen from the applicant pool, and scholarships will be awarded based on the strength of each candidate’s academic background, impact on diversity, and demonstrated leadership in the community.
