With new realities and vastly limited travel for the past 2 years due to COVID-19 pandemic, Atlant has curtailed its participation in most conferences and other global events. Truth be told we were also very much head down in code improving our products and also dealing with ever changing regulatory frameworks in jurisdictions where we’re active or trying to launch. However, in our desire to make UVAS, KARTA and REDOT global products we couldn’t miss Africa Blockchain Week 2021, given that it’s the world’s second-largest and second most populous continent, undergoing a massive communication and data revolution.

Africa is home to 54 sovereign states, with many developing sandboxes and a strong infrastructure for the adoption of widespread cryptocurrency based transactions, blockchain technologies for tokenization, e-commerce, remittance flows and other frameworks. The event proved a success with many key decision makers, investors and industry leaders in participation from the continent and those looking to participate in African growth. CEO Julian Svirsky and CTO Denis Donin had many productive meetings during which they had the opportunity to discuss all of Atlant’s projects, with discussions spanning potential collaboration with financial institutions on the ground and even CBDC pilots with government entities. Knowledge and contacts obtained due to the conference were extremely valuable and will hopefully serve to advance Atlant’s cause globally.
